Eltham Toy Library: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month open at 10.30am -12.3pm next to the Plunket Rooms, High street, Eltham. Suitable for 0 - 5yrs. For a yearly subscription of $60 you can borrow 3 toys at a time. Contact Levonne on 764 5188
Eltham Library: The local library is free to join plus there is no cost to borrow books. Your member ship is valid on all South Taranaki Library's so even if you pop out to Opunake or Kaponga you can take books home and return them to your nearest Library. Lots of books for preschoolers to choose from no matter what their interests are.
Plunket Birthday Club: If you haven't already done so you can enter your child (under 5 years) in to the birthday club draw. Each monthly one lucky winner will get a $10 warehouse voucher. To enter ask Lynne (Plunket nurse) for a form.

Play dough recipe
2 cups flour 2 tbspn oil
2 cups water ¼ Cup salt
2 tbspn cream of tartar food colouring
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stir well until the mixture starts to thicken up and leave the sides to form a ball. Remove from saucepan and knead a little to smooth out any lumps. This will keep for 2 weeks in an air-tight container in a fridge.
