Eltham Mainly Music
Come and join us on Wednesday mornings, 9.30am at the Eltham Baptist Church on York street. Bring your preschooler along for half an hour of music, movement and fun, followed by morning refreshments and playtime. The adults can enjoy morning tea and a chance to get to know other mums and dads. We have a lot of fun and many great friendships are forged here. We have an open registration.
Eltham Toy Library: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month open at 10.30am -12.3pm next to the Plunket Rooms, High street, Eltham. Suitable for 0 - 5yrs. For a yearly subscription of $60 you can borrow 3 toys at a time. Click here for the facebook page

Kaponga Playcentre: Tuesday and Thursdays 9.15am - 12.15pm on Swadling Street,Kaponga. For 0 - 6 yrs, $20 per family per school term. First 3 visits are free so pop along and enjoy 16 areas of play with the kids. Funded by the Ministry of Education. For more info go to www.playcentre.org.nz
Stratford Playcentre: Fridays 10am - 1.00pm on 22 Cloton Rd, next to Mitre 10. For 0 - 6 yrs, $15 per family per school term. For further details contact Annie Johnson on 7655223. ETown Youth centre:
E-Town has grown out of the community’s identified need for Positive Youth and Communitiy activities of which we are endeavoring to provide! We offer a variety of activities including After School Youth Sessions, SHINE Girl Programme, Art based Workshops, Yearly local Art Gallery Exhibitions, Cooking Lessons & many other Community related Activities.

Libraries are the hub of our communities
The local library is free to join plus there is no cost to borrow books. Your membership is valid on all South Taranaki Library's so even if you pop out to one of our other libraries you can take books home and later return them to your nearest Library. There are seven LibraryPlus centres in South Taranaki located in Hawera, Patea, Waverley, Eltham, Manaia, Kaponga and Opunake. These offices are called LibraryPlus centres because they offer a range of Council services (For example rates payments, dog registration services) as well as offering a full range of Library services.

Taylor Park on Tayler Street -children’s playground and an off leash dog park
Bridger Park – Entrances off Bridge Street, Stanners Street and through the Stark Park carpark -enjoy the sounds of nature in this natural amphitheatre
Stark Park – A pocket park in the middle of town which offers direct access to off street parking
Soldier’s Park Conway Road – playground, playing field, Skate Park, toilets, swimming pool and native walk-way
Taumata Park – sports field, Recreation Centre, grandstand, big kids playground
